![]() Sony recently showed the latest version of its premiere PS2 racer at the San Francisco International Auto Show, and we were on hand to take it for a spin. While the game's still only about 60% complete as of this writing, all the pieces of the final version are beginning to fall into place.

![]() According to Sony, the license test system used in the first two games is being significantly expanded for GT3 - players will even need to master basic tasks like parallel parking to earn an entry level license. Sony has also confirmed that you'll be able to network up to three PS2's using an i.Link hub for multi-player racing, with two players on each console via split-screen. If less than six human players are racing, A.I. competitors can be added to fill out the pack.

![]() In order to keep the Japanese and American releases of GT3 as close as possible, Sony is planning to keep the car lineup the same in both versions. The only major difference will be the U.S. soundtrack, which will feature a variety of songs from the 80's, 90's and upcoming bands.
